RE:

You may or may not realize this but Prusa has a long history of promising things and then taking years to bring them to light. They are slow at everything. innovation and doing what they say they will do. My experience with them is that they eventually do what they say they would, but that they are normally behind the current tech and have problems implementing the promises they make to the buyers of their product. My opinion of this is that they are slow to respond to the market but they after A time finally meet the need. But they are always behind, they have a tendency to not listen to knowledgeable users until its to late.

That said I've been using 3D printers since early 2012 (of a very expensive verity) and have been using Prusa's to help offset our Que since early 2018. I have endued may loser comments from users here since then and even been banned for my comments here several times while continuing to help users in need. I've been called every name in the book for this, take it for what its worth. I have yet to meet a user here that knows what I know About printing, and especially about Prusa printers and PrusaSlicer, but it always seems to be the sheeple I'm up against, I expect the sheeple to respond to this post, but I wont help you because you, are incapable of helping yourself's, or realizing what it takes to do what you need to advance, your the people that rely on others to tell you what you need, and then scoff when your told how to do something in a way you don't like. your very difficult to help and easily taken advantage of.

Yea, when you have to scroll back years to see your back orders…

I thought they had perhaps change their ways with the MK4,  but I don’t have printers or kits yet.

lol,  I just looked at my 5 extruder fully-assembled preorder on prusa website lol,  I ordered it 11/18/2021!   omg, it's really hard to believe it's been that long now.  Come on prusa...   it concerns me that the beta tester feedback wasn't good...

Where have you read the feedback was not good?

I just read a twitter feed from Prusa, and he said the beta remarks were good.  There was an issue with motor quality and the bearing door on the extruder on the XL or MK4 that may have delayed shipments.

Some details on that can be read here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/prusa3d/comments/13jjk9c/quick_update/

Not really sure what, if any impact the changes make to XL. Also, if they can bring on 100 people and ramp them up quickly (without sacrificing quality), that'll help.

While that is useful information, thanks for the link, why the heck is that posted in Reddit and not on the official site? 🙄

(Obviously the question is not to you, but to Josef.)

The scaling up of staff happen over time and projected to be completed by year end.  Prusa did not disclose how long ago they got their expansion space or how long it will take to fit it out.

RE: Prusa Delays

Prusa's choice to predominantly (nearly solely, in fact) disclose information on various social media, rather than on the website (and email to folks who pre-ordered over 18 months ago) does indeed leave a lot to be desired. I honestly think that if Prusa was more transparent and better at communicating, a lot of ill feelings would be a bit smoothed over. Folks generally accept news, as long as they feel included, and not like they have to chase down updates in unexpected places.

RE: Prusa Delays

The message was a tweet from Josef’s Twitter account, which was reposted on Reddit.  I had an alert on my phone when the tweet went out.  Josef should put it on official blog, but that’s probably a collaboration with other employees. He does mention in the tweet that a full-fledged article will come out later.

RE: Prusa Delays

The company is very poorly managed, they have proved this over time. You will in the end get a decent product, this also has been shown. Just don't expect a top tier highest end tech product, expect that prusa will have been well behind the curve, and will provide and support their very late to the market, not understanding until they are very late to the game product. Prusa doesn't listen to their knowledgeable customers, they listen to the sheeple, they have shown this.  It's not even an argument. So understand that the first buyers of the XL are not seeing what they were promised, they are getting what prusa thinks they should get based on the reality and the monetary needs of the company at the time of release. The company needs better management, and they need to learn not to offer things they can't produce based on their wishes, they are a small company and they need to learn many things that unfortunately only a  suffrage of funds will teach them. they don't care about you the individual, that is a fantasy that many users suffer from, the latest 2.6 beta version of PS should be you confirmation of this. since 2.4 the development of PS as been very poor and is designed to fool you into showing the company cares. I feel bad for the newer users, you have no way to release this. you have been fooled.

RE: Prusa Delays

They won't ever run out of funds, they are THE ONLY remaining open source printer manufacturer that captures almost every price range and related accessory/consumable.

I don't understand all the downright hatred for the brand. There are fanboys for everything and I find it astounding how many people refuse to admit that prusa makes any formidable printer.

This was just a delays speculation forum post, look where it's gone, haha.

Also it looks like we'll be getting some XL shipping tables in the next month, so that's looking great!

gkas, georg & burtronix  Fanboys without a clue, if I showed any of the three of you what I know, you would feel like imbeciles for liking and responding to this.

So Sad.

Power to the sheep.

So we're so dumb, that we can't comprehend how smart you are.... 🤣 🤣  I think the grandest thing is your ego. 🤡 🤡

The comfort for you is not knowing, and you don't know. You have shown that in provisos posts, but I'm sure your comfortable with that, and will convince yourself your ok with it.

That's the answer I expected from you. Nothing informative or intelligent.

We are not talking about food ("look what they are trying to stuff you with..") neither child labor so I don't see many "secrets" you might actually know that would "shock" us.. Even a shepherd dog has to actually run around to herd the sheep. Barking itself never works.
