RE: Original Prusa XL Dev Diary #1 and FAQ
And it did although ti was indirect. I have posted that in multiple forum in multiple forms.
Here's your exact words, by the way. Seemed pretty sure that we'd get an update from Prusa.
Coming up on 2 months since the last update. I guess anything might be better than the previous 5 month interval, but, it sure seems Prusa isn't actually interested on delivering on the promise of more frequent news. Sure are active enough retweeting things on Twitter, though!
It will happen in October at ERRF.
Perhaps you should lay off the emotional investment you have that is forcing you to righteously defend Prusa from every slightly negative comment on forums.
RE: Original Prusa XL Dev Diary #1 and FAQ
Well, hopefully we see an XL in January. Either way, it will be an much more capable printer than any consumer based printer I have seen on the market.
As a military officer, I understand the limit in information. You provide an update when you have one. At this stage, based on the info from ERRF, it sounds like they may still have issues redesigning the power supplies because of limitation in the supply chain. I am sure we will be given an update when they have a viable source and redesign.

Prusa promised a better information policy and faster updates. And that's still missing. A delay doesn't brother me that much, but I expect reliable updates on a regular basis in exchange for my prepaid money.

Perhaps you should not read into my comments that deeply. Also.

One thing that may make me rethink my setup for this printer is the power needs. It will require 1kW so I might need a dedicated power circuit on my shop.

I think it is OK for us to expect "much sooner" to not be >2 months. I also thought that they have more than enough to talk about, but seem to not want to show it yet.
Also: would be interesting to know if they were also looking into closed-loop motors of LDO

I think the discussion in the user forum will not change much the situation. Contact Prusa directly. If there is a delay on shipping your order, it should also be possible to cancel the purchase.
At least that's how I do it if I don't get a delivery in the long term.
