About the nozzles for nextruder

I know, maybe it's too soon. But does anyone know the possible price of the nozzles for the nextruder? And the price of the adapter for v6 nozzles?

I want to assume that the nozzles for the XL will be the same as for the MK4

And something else: are there hard nozzles for abrasive filaments?

Sorry for my poor English. I try to do my best.

I have seen comments about hardened nozzles but nothing specific.  No word on price.

I would shock me if they were not released by May.

High-flow as well. The 20-minute benchy was super impressive, I wonder if they did it with a regular (0.6 ?) nozzle.

The company is offering a V6-style nozzle adapter, so all the hardened steel, ruby-tipped, or whatever exotic filament squeezer you’ve got in a drawer will work with the Nextruder, too.

I appreciate the price for the adapter at around 30-40 euros.

The price is just a speculation (based on the E3D heatbreaks). Maybe the chat team can give you more detailed information (but I doubt it).

Adapter is nice and well, but PR original nozzles would come with tuned profiles...
I'm optimistic they'll provide soon enough.

I have almost exclusively switched to 0.6 mm nozzles and I am not looking back.  No change to quality and the speed is much better.  I wish the Mk4 came with that size nozzle.

To be able to use the higher printing speeds you should use the original Nextruder set (hotend, nozzles). The old E3D V6 nozzles from the MK3 are of course not useful, unless you are thinking of installing a Volcano hotend (temporarily installed on my Klipper MK3). For this reason, I would not upgrade the MK3, instead I would buy a MK4 kit. Everyone should do it as he thinks it makes sense, but you have to remember that a high printing speed requires a larger heat accumulator.

I think that the frequently needed nozzle sizes and types will progressively become available (similar to the Volcano nozzles).

Wait....  2/3 of the Mk3 upgrade kits include the Nextruder.  I think there are reasons for folks to just get the full-up Mk4 kit, but for those wanting to upgrade, they'll get everything they need to print at high speed.

Melt volume...

The V6 has a melt volume of about 11.5 mm^3/s, whereas the XL has a melt volume of around 16mm^3/s (~ 40% more than V6).  And yes, melt volumes can be increased with temp increases, but not by as much as you would probably think and there would also be a few downsides.

The melt volume, layer height and nozzle diameter determine the speed, so you should be able to work out the "best" combination for your particular requirement.
