tangled Filament is not detected
In my 2nd print the filament was tangled between the spool and the entrance to the PTFE tube (my own fault, it got criss crossed after removing it before) and the filament didn't advanced after that. The printer did not detect this (the filament sensor was in contact the hole time with the filament ofcourse), i got a little brown burned end of filament in the nozzle (after loading a different filament the next day it got ejected). So there is no way the printer knows wether the filament still advances or not, right? The printer did "print" 3-4hours without filament coming out of the nozzle..

Unfortunately the Mk3 printer (laser) filament sensor was intended to sense filament presence, filament out and filament motion... BUT, it had difficulties with various filaments, and was rapidly replaced with the Mk3 INFRA RED filament sensor.
If I remember correctly, the Laser sensor used a sensor, which was similar to a computer mouse sensor, but the prusa version had difficulties with :-
Shiny surface filament,
Transparent / translucent filament and
Green filament.
It was also sensitive to Dust...
there were also suggestions that the laser filament sensor could overheat, in some instances.
To the best of my knowledge, since then the filament sensors have not had the ability to sense filament movement.
