Extruder clicking

After a while the extruder (XL Single) clicks and the filament stops. Extruder continues to run and nothing is printed anymore. I can repeat that over and over again. Detected with PETG. The printed one is of poor quality. Same print file but slicer setting for i3Mk3 prints cleanly and perfectly on Mk3.

RE: Extruder clicking

You may need to print at a higher extruder temp for this filament.  I've had some filaments that had a spec'd range but I constantly ran into clog issues using the spec'd range, and so I experimented going higher and sure enough I would get to a temp eventually, sometimes 20-30 deg higher than spec, that enabled good printing.

RE: Extruder clicking

Thanks for the tip. The problem seems to have been solved with the latest update of the slicer. I have now printed high prints with PLA and PETG (Prusafilament and also non-Prusafilament) without any problems. (See picture, part of the canopy PETG and hood PLA depending on the model aircraft, battery as a size comparison)Greetings Masi
