Prusa USS Drybox, OpenPrintTag, and INDX
I wonder, how will the USS Drybox work with OpenPrintTag, when we will have 8 dryboxes sitting side-by-side behind or under the printer?
When the spool holders are mounted on the sides of the printer, the readers are probably far from each other to not interfere and they are also connected to the printer. That seems to be easy. But what if I don't like them mounted on the printer?
I'm thinking about building a small cabinet, like a night stand, on which the printer would stand in my living room, because it makes a nice functional decoration (also, no workshop available). With the upcoming INDX, I could place the spools into the cabinet under the printer and use a bit longer PTFE tubes to feed the printer. However, then the OpenPrintTag readers need to be in the cabinet rather than on the printer. So... is there going to be external spool holder with a reader? I guess, I will need seven external spool holders and one for the niche in the side of the printer.

The same way your car recognizes that a key is inside the car - signal strength and distance. It might even have multiple sensors.
