Servo Motors and VFDs
I was wondering if it is possible to run a servo motor with a VFD ( https://www.oyostepper.es/category-89-b0-Servomotores.html ).With no experience with servo motors I thought it best to try the forums.I was offered a 2kw 220 volt 3 phase motor designed for 400Hz,which the Siemens Micromaster 440 I have should theoretically be able to drive.
I think AC type servo motors are simple induction or permanent magnet type motors.I am not interested in any servo type capabilities, just the ability to run the motor.Any suggestions are welcome.
