calibration issue after MK1 upgrade to 3.0.12 firmeware

Hi all,
I've just upgrade my MK1 to last firmeware version (3.0.12) as described in https://www.prusa3d.it/driver/ .

The printer is showing calibration error messages on start up. Even performing all the calibration steps in the menu, i am getting always the same error message on the next start up.

Since i connected the printer on a octoprint server the message prevent the serial commucation over USB to happen correctly.

Can you please help on this? Is there any work around?

Hi all, I just solved it. After upgrade you should print the V2calibration.gcode file. Within that file there is a “magic” gcode G87 that set the value to live z axes. More info in https://mattshub.com/blog/2017/06/04/v2calibration-bypass
After printing V2calibration.gcode and restart the octoprint server, I am able to connect without timeout. Hope this help others as well

Hi,

thank you very much for this post! I recently (!) upgraded my firmware and I couldn't understand why the printer didn't connect to OctoPrint anymore (unless you pressed the button to manually delete the message).

Actually I just sent G87 code from OctoPrint terminal, it worked!

Thank you again!

Marco
