What to do with an old MK1 Prusa (partly broken, modified to mill PCB boards)

Since today I am the kind of happy owner of and old MK1 Prusa (at least I think from the frame it is an MK1).
It is modified to be used to mill PCB boards. It is also partly broken.

The seller ( paid € 20, including a big wooden box/enclosure) said it should work, you only have to do a couple of things............?

Anyway, maybe on this forum there are ideas how could I use this machine, modify it to whatever interesting, or just strip it for the parts?

So if you have got a good idea or a link to projects of other people, please let me know.

Regards, Eef

I’ve just bought a 3-D printer in a clear frame with Prusa – I3 cut out of it.

Do you have a photo of yours? I am not sure what model I have.

It may even be a Frankenstein so I wouldn’t be surprised. Cheap marketplace pick up.

I am sure that it is probably a lost cause for both of us however for me I like a challenge in a project.
in addition, I luckily have some parts from upgrading an MK3S2 an MK 3.5 that may come in handy for me.

Looks like an early clone.
my Mk1 had an aluminium and stud iron frame with a cover over the rambo controller and safety covers on the power supply.

Thank you for your reply! This is mine:
Looking at your image, yours is newer (see extruder) and completely CNC in plexiglas (very nicely done!)

By now I have at least some ideas what to do with the machine.
- I did some repairs (the black printed parts).
My idea is to turn it into a small (ultra light) CNC machine:
1. I will exchange the X-carriage with a toolchanger, so I can easily put some different tools on it.
- The black drill, laying on the heatbed, was included in the machine. I will mount it, and use it to mill PCB boards.
There is a good video online on how to do this. And software to use with it.
2. Also thinking about a tool with a pen, to draw and a scalpel to cut some EVA-foam (if possible).
I probably will not use the extruder again (my others machines are better for that).

Some things to experiment:
- different firmware (klipper)
- different software (Would be nice to experiment with Full Control)

We will do what we have always done. We will find hope in the impossible.
