Is there a forecast? Background: We are currently using Octofarm and have a few investment decisions coming up.

Support for MINI+ has been announced on the blog - the only question is: when?

Yes, we are working on Connect support in Prusa MINI printer. I don't have any specific date, but with some limited functionality at this year.

Hello,

Is there any update aboput this? Is it possible to connect the Mini+ to Prusa Connect via a Raspberry Pi?

Don't suppose you could elaborate on what that is? That page is now a 404.

Well that's the first time i see a post gone like that. Well, PrusaLink is written against the 8bit fw, as mini should get Connect support in a FW update, a Raspi version of PrusaLink is not planned to support the newer printers

RE:

I would also like to know when this feature will be available for the Prusa Mini+.

The local Prusa Link is already quite helpful, but nothing compared to what is possible with Prusa Connect with a Raspberry Pi.

Is there at least a timeline for when this feature will be available for the Mini?

Thanks a lot 🙂

RE:

I do not know what was under that link, so I repeated what I thought might have been under there (PrusaLink on the raspi will not get the new fw support unless that is requested internally). I have no insight into the mini fw situation, it should get Connect eventually, but the FW team already cannot keep up with demands for fixing and making new features for all the new printers. For an official statement please contact [email protected], but I doubt there is more info on this even using official channels

This is available now with the new 5.1.0-alpha1 release correct? I have not been able to get it to work though. Anyone have success with this?

Yes, it's working. The Mini on Alpha seems to be fine, while I cannot state that for all the other printers. One of the MK3s has a problem accepting files, the other one, exactly identical, doesn't. So, it's a mixed bag currently.

This is interesting. Could you try and find what is the difference between those? Or share as much detail as you can about which use case is broken? (upload from link, connect, slicer, all of them) and the error code and behavior of those?

Thank you

RE: When is the MINI available for Prusa Connect?

Every time I upload a file through Prusa Connect when printing to the Mini.....I do not see an image of the object being printed on the website. I see a preview image on the LCD screen of the printer before hitting print....but I do not see an image on Prusa Connect. I only see a grey box with a huge question mark. How can I get the image to show up?

Hi, sorry, we're changing image formats to save quite a bit of ram in the printer. Unfortunately, it's not supported everywhere yet

Haven't forgotten about it yet. Just that I am taming my Ratrig @70k right now 😉
The moment I start the Prusa farm again after my holidays I will look deeper into the issue. Really, both are virtually the same printers, just seperated by half a meter and threated the same... for the last 5 years. No idea. Is there any log file I could check?

RE: When is the MINI available for Prusa Connect?

I did a factory reset (settings only) of my mini, and that got it working. One thing I did though is once I got the code on my printer and entered it into connect online it said my printer was offline. I went to the settings in connect online & downloaded the LAN file. I removed everything in the file except for the [service::connect] section. You should see your token at the bottom of it. Then load it into the connect settings in the printer, and it began to work for me. I also had to turn off Link for it to be consistent.

Not much for me. Leaving Connect enabled has caused a BSOD in the middle of a print, it only sometimes connects to Connect, and now only sometimes even connects to Wi-Fi. Prior to installing this firmware while the Wi-Fi was slow it worked perfectly.
