When is the 0.6.0 update due?

When is the 0.6.0 update due?

Because version 0.6.0 is not stable...

Thank you in advance

For me, 0.6.0 is rock solid. I have had no real issues with it.

Are you certain that your issues are not related to your hardware? (SD Card, power stability, PINs between the Raspberry and the Einsy)

In my case it always crashes at about the same time, I have indicated this in the error/beug section

Can you elaborate on 'the same time'?

  • Same percentage on the same print?
  • Same percentage on different prints?
  • Same time after the print has started?
  • Same layer hight in a print?

Looking at your other post in error/bug it seems like the tx/rx (serial) gives an error?
I would suggest trying to use USB to connect to the MK3s and see if it resolves the issue.

You can find how to use USB on a few topics on the forum.

Looked up the topic for you -> Using USB

Using USB and an external power adapter will also give a hint if it is maybe an issue with supplying enough power to the raspberry.

How are you connected to usb? And with an extra power supply?

But where does the message come from

{"checked":false} as a SERIAL source?

I have mine connected using the pin headers but had issues before with a good connection between the Raspberry and the Einsy.

This turned out to be a bad solder connection between a pin header and the Raspberry. The solder was not sticking easily on the Raspberry PCB, so the solder stuck to the header but not to the PCB. So the pin was loose in the PCB hole and only made a connection when it touched the side of the hole in the PCB. During printing of infill, the printer moves and that's when the connection becomes unstable.

I have resoldered the pins to the Raspberry PCB but made sure to use a little bit of solder flux. Now, the solder joint is perfect and all issues are gone.

My suggestion is to first try printing using the USB connection and with the Raspberry 5v power adapter. That way you are sure that it is not an issue with your connection between the Raspberry and the Einsy.
When using USB you need an adapter cable from Micro USB Male to USB A female for the printer. And of course a 5v Micro USB Male power adapter.

I feel that your issues are not caused by version 0.6.0 because there are not many issues reported with stability.
Therefore a new Prusalink version will probably not fix the issue you are seeing. And you would be waiting for something you can fix yourself right now.

Only when you print from the SD card to the printer, if you transfer the file to the micro SD on Raspberry PI no problem at this level because there are still many problems 🙂

There was a problem, where the printer fell into an error state and would not recover. There is a bug in the serial readline function which tells it to wait negative time. I've made a modified image with this specific thing fixed. More in this thread: https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/bugs-errors/printer-status-changed-to-error-during-printjob/#post-580627
