RE: Trouble Shooting Prusa Link

Hi, sorry for my silence. I was at formnext, then it was a national holiday, then I took on a weekend project that took me to this day to complete. I have some trouble understanding you too, so I'll just write out what I think is happening and you can confirm, or tell me more about each one.
You either can connect to PrusaConnect, or you can connect to PrusaLink and it cannot get to the internet? In which state is it now?
How do you get to the state, where it sees only Connect? It needs to be configured first and that's done on LAN, so you have to see it on the lan to get it to use Connect.
If it says bad api key, try to swith to digest authentication and use that, PrusaSlicer has the option to do that.
Again, sorry for being slow on this.

RE: Trouble Shooting Prusa Link

Hey Tojik

oh really if you have time , like to know more about formnext ..i went there last time was so great i met Jo at the booth ...i miss formext this year sad... 😓 .like to see the news and get sample to test ...

well so far and really never mind for ur late answer, but during this days i tried many diff options , i user explain and i test the prvious ver of Raspi the im 1.6.2 then old prusalink too , that works but sometime the link doesn't connect .and the display link is not so useful than the 0.7rc so i did same but last ver of prusalink ..

as now all is working well , just i have to shut down the printer then run again as the 1st time i put on , wait...then prusconnect show very well each time that seems very stable but the link sometime not , only if i shut of and on the mk3s then ok ..

so I just test the digest right now and put user + password then work too .. let's see further ..but when i wait a little time that the printer find the wifi and the link then all seems working well...

just have to be improved , adding more quick button in prusalink and some other option that would be great..

thx

RE:

Idk, I found the exhibition kinda boring. It's not the bleeding edge of what's possible, it's old concepts remixed into functional products or prototypes. The trip was absolutely amazing, thanks to prusa and the guys working there. The exhibition not so much. A lot of business people there.

I don't know what it is, you're trying to tell me.
Reboot on the RC1 is broken, so yes, you need to shut it down by turning off the printer.
I guess try to tell me in your native language what the problem is. I'll try to get a person to translate.
You basically told me that everything works well and fast and that PrusaLink is running. But it looks like that's definitely not what you meant.

RE: Trouble Shooting Prusa Link

Hi,

my prusalink just stopped working, i am on the latest update on mk3s 3.12.2 and on rpi 0.7.0rc3. On the printer screen I can read "Starting PrusaLink".

While I am pinging this IP I am getting responses but only there. On this IP in the web browser there is no response, also on connect.prusa3d.com. I was trying resetting, looking if there maybe thiassamble but everything is looking great.

Format SD?

RE: Trouble Shooting Prusa Link

Hi, I have never seen PrusaLink just stop working except because of a corrupted or dead SD card. I would suggest an industrial card. 8 GB is fine, you can go bigger if you want. So far they work great.

RE: Trouble Shooting Prusa Link

Yes, I just downloaded everything today and I had the same problems with the bad API Key.

Strange. I think this is a bonefide bug.

However, I switched to HTTP DIGEST and everything worked correctly.

  • prusalink-0.7.2.img.xz (running on RPi 3B+)
  • Windows 11 Pro 22H2  (PrusaSlicer 2.6.1)  and also tried    (PrusaSlicer 2.7.0-alpha1 )
  • firmware 3.13.1-6876 (running on i3Mk3 converted to i3Mk3s)

Sincerely,

-N

RE: Trouble Shooting Prusa Link

Hi, no clue what "bonefide" means, chatgpt thinks it could be "bona fide" - latin

By default, PrusaLink does not generate its api key, you would have to generate it in its settings tab. If you did not do that, you were probably trying to use the PrusaConnect api key which would not work

However, if you generated and copied the api key and it still did not work, then it really might be a bug
