Prusa Connect lost connect with pendrive, cyclic restarting.

Hi!

While using Prusa Connect, I have been unable to access files on the memory card for several days.

There is always information >no files available< Everything worked before.

I also noticed that the printer changes its status about once every 20 seconds from connected to not connected. The error tab indicates >bug<. In prusa connect the status also changes from Iddle to Offline then.When printing - the status works smoothly, but I still have no access to files from Prusa Connect.

The files can be seen in Prusa link and are physically on the memory card.Restarting the computer, restarting the browser (also tested on another one) and restarting Prus did not change anything.File transfer works fine.

Prusa MK4 printer

Firmware 5.0.0-RCUSB

pendrive - original from kit.

Does anyone have an idea how to solve this? I admit that since I saw PrusaConnect I really liked this environment.

Hi, we are having trouble with some non-ascii characters, please try to remove files containing them in a file name from your flash drive, or to test, just put one ascii named file on a clean flash drive and see whether that works

Wow! That's it! I found one accidental non ASCII character. Rename file fix problem - all works as earlier, without reconnect loop.

Nice, sorry about that, should get fixed. It's been like the #1 reported bug this release cycle.

Thanks. Maybe good idea for easy implementation will be (i'm not programmer 😉 :

1. Prusa slicer shows error message when we trying sent file with non ascii character

2. If file with non ascii character exist on memory - should be ignored

Heh, we will make them show up. It's just the release cycle is longer. Input shaper and such holding it up.

No worries! The most important thing is that we are aware of how it works and we can avoid this bug. 

Problem is solved for me - with Prusa team on forums. That's why I choose this printer! 

 

P.S. Current IS works perfect with my prints - 0% errors.
