MK4-USB/ prusa link key why why why !!
Hi Tojik ,
well 1st test with the new mk4 and after passing all test , then i installed the prusalink quit easy and work well but then i have several question
Do we have to keep the usb key in the lcd plugged ????
As you know i am with the Eisny rambo plugged the RPIOw2 and as i see right now on 1st test , i undersand now why many ppl says sending files is very slow ..!! it was really faster with my raps and sd card than using the MK4 and usb key !! so the problem occur from the usb key ?
To set up the prusa link with have to copy the name and MPK which are again very long and complicate but can i choose my name and my password or modify after?
At now on the prualink mk39/4 compare to prusalink MK3s/RpioW i only have dashwoard and project but no control at all ? is missing something or i'ts not done yet ?
prusaconnect is fine same as other and for now the APi key works well

Sorry, forgot the usb key question in the storm of other ones. Yes, you need to keep that plugged in, there is no large internal storage on the mk4

Hi, yes, I think the situation is as you described.
Also there most likely are individual posts about things you described. So in short
You cannot change the Link login name on mk4 and you can only re-gen the key, not enter your own
We are working on upload speeds to not be an issue anymore.
And the control tab is still missing, i do not know when will it be added.

Even you didn't help me so far but u still give a fast answer that very pro for me ..
now can't change the name and password is not too bad but really weird and also so easy and work perfectly on a 18e RPIo W2 😉 not so fast as maybe we can wish but faster than xbuddy ..
then from what i experienced really i didn't make test but easy and fast to do, you add Rpio on ur eisny rambo, transfert a 20mo files then chrono in hand you'll see
doing the same with mk4 then chrono in hand.. oupsss so IF we MUST plug this USB key !! honeslty i am certainly not the good person to interact or give some advice in electronic but adding a simple micro SD card on the xbuddy could be so cheap and easy then each one can buy for 5e fast sd card !! as i did with my rpio and class 10 sd card
when u say missing that mean it was there but disappeared ?
well hope you can raise that to Jo or right team...anyway the 1st layer is mazing..and have to say more quiet than mk3s
