TPU / Flex not supported yet?

Was going to try a TPU print but can't select it even though I have it in my presets for my other printers. Not supported yet?

Noticed the same thing. I started with a MK4IS PETG preset and tweaked it a bit and was able to successfully print some high speed 95A TPU. Would be great to at least get a generic flex preset in PrusaSlicer though.

I’ve had success using the sainsmart tpu filament with the Průša settings for that filament. I didn’t make any changes to the mk4

Yeah but, as of the time of writing this, there still isn't a single TPU/FLEX profile available when you select the Alpha / Input Shaper in the config wizard. You must be selected a profile for the stable (non-Input Shaper) MK4 firmware. I'm guessing we don't have presets yet because flex could have issues going faster through the extruder.

That is a fair assessment.

I was successfully printing with TPU 90 A. The major parameter is the Maximum volumetric speed . I set it to "standard" for Flex (12mm³/s) and was able to cut down the print-time from 30min to 10 min (a small zip tie with 100% infill). I did also increase the retraction value (filament override) to 4mm to reduce oozing - something impossible with the MK3 - but with the MK4 it works! With a TPU 70A (super flex) I needed to turn down the volumetric speed and could not reduce the printing time - but it worked"

RE: TPU / Flex not supported yet?

I have to report that I faced problems while printing with Recreus Filaflex SEBS filament with unchanged profile for Generic TPU and with firmware 5.0.0 on mk4. The first time the filament was jammed in the gear of the extruder. The Support helped me with the trick to use Gear Alignment to get the jammed filament from there. They also told me to loosen the idler screws by 0.5mm. I did this and tested the same print but with standard settings, i.e. w/o Input Shaper. It worked file. After this, I repeated the print with Input Shaper and 0.2mm Structured setting. And the filament was jammed again. It got it out with the same trick and now wait in the queue at Support to learn what is wrong now. I think, I will avoid using Input Shaper with flex materials until it will be widely confirmed that it works well. This is my production machine. I cannot risk it for experiments...
