MK4_firmware_5.0.0-RC seems to be much slower on network (wired) uploading.

I upgraded from 4.7.2 to 5.0 RC and I noticed a distinct slowdown on network upload speeds.

I'm using a wired connection for higher speed and it is still achingly slow.  I am running CAT6 1GB across my entire network and I am achieving less than 1 Mb/S to the printer.  The computer and printer are both connected to the same 1GB switch.

I will do a direct comparison between 5.0RC and 4.7.2 when the current print is done.

I confirm, much slower than 4.7.2

I upgraded from 5.0 alpha 4 to 5.0 RC and also see that it is at least half the speed or slower at times.

Same, takes so long. 5MB print is sent about 33% of the speed of 4.7.2

I'm noticing this too. Another thing is Prusa Connect intermittently disconnects from the printer. It didn't do this on 4.7.2

I believe that is enough to require an RC2 before the actual release. It is not sensible for Prusa to apply the fix to the final release unless the speed regression is totally obvious. Btw that was pretty obvious to spot during QA... I guess it was the August vacation effect.

I am seeing the same, 24MB file taking 5-10 minutes to copy across network. I am beginning to suspect it might be the USB drive supplied, my Mac copies to it slower than most others as well. Will try that tomorrow and see if it helps.

I use my own usb stick with the printer and still have this issue, it's not that. The RC firmware simply introduced a bug, I had way faster speeds on stable. Flashed RC and it instantly got slow. Given how close the stable IS release is, I hope the bug was obvious and easy to fix and will be gone by then. Previous speeds were low but acceptable imo, these ones are just impossible to work with. 15 mins of waiting to start a 2h print is significant.

Can confirm. Pushing a file via PrusaLink and Wifi is about 10 times slower with 5.0.0-RC as it was with 4.7.2 for me.
