MK4 Input shaper profile 0.2 mm SPEED: impressed

MK4 assembly received this week.

Reading the getting started advice, it is indicated that it is best to opt for the MK4 Input shaper Nozzle 0.4 mm profile.

With what has been read recently on the subject, I was a little skeptical.

I first printed the spatula with the basic MK4 profile to see if everything was ok.With the grandchildren there, we chose a few articulated models on Printables.

All printed in MK4 Input shaper Nozzle 0.4 mm profile and let's go merrily in 0.2 mm SPEED mode.

Black PLA Prusament Galaxy prints. The rest in PETG 3DFIL (white, orange and transparent orange), Arianeplast (green), Sunlu (transparent).

Overall: impressed by the speed (vs my ex MK3S), the regularity, the absence of defects on the print. Well, these are still basic and simple models, with some rare necessary supports (organic), but I find these test runs encouraging.

I wish I could say the same, I am running into nothing but issues with the MK4 IS. I can never get past the third layer before it starts severely underextruding as per my post here

Did you have to make any adjustments to the IS settings at all? I am using the same profile with prusament PLA with no luck.

Ignore my post btw, I managed to figure it out. Helps if you don't store prusament PETG inside a prusament PLA box...

For PLA --> PLA filament profile; for PETG other than Prusament ---> Generic PETG profile.I store PETG, open spools, unprotected, on a shelf next to the printer, in a standard room in the house. Clear PETG, which is several years old, still prints without problem, on occasion (recently, these articulated ones)

Next time you take a photo you should focus on the object 😉 I know what a print bed looks like 😀

And from what I can see, it shouldn't look like this at all.
