X-Y shift when priniting

I am sure this would be a part of my 'filemnt clinging to extruder problem' I have just recently posted, but feel it's so odd, it could be a subject on its own.

Two hours into a print of a 'shed tie-down (4x instances ) I got an X-Y shift of about 8.6mm in each direction at 11.8mm height of the print.

I have been having problems with filament clinging ( when doing infill and supports) but to shift this amount whilst still printing with no warning is totally unacceptable.

Has anyone else experienced this?

RE: X-Y shift when priniting

Have you found a solution in the meantime?

I would take the time to observe the pressure and see if and when it hits the pressure part.

Such a mechanical shift usually only occurs when something gets stuck on the component itself.

RE: X-Y shift when priniting

I have had this same failure three or four times now. The first instance was roughly 8mm, second time was 3mm, third was 12.5mm, fourth caused an absolutely catastrophic metldown, that made my extruder look like the Chernobyl Elephants Foot, and measurement wasn't feasible.
