PrusaLink: Cannot log in over LAN on 5.1.0 Alpha Firmware
I am unable to log into the Mini+ after "upgrading" the firmware to 5.1.0-Alpha.
- When I go to the device over the LAN I receive a login prompt, asking for my username and password.
- On the Mini+ under PrusaLink the user name was "maker" and the password was there.
- When I enter "maker" as the user name and carefully enter the password I am told that the password is not correct.
I have tried doing these things:
- Power cycling the Mini+
- Changing the password.
- Unplugging and re-plugging the Ethernet cable.
- Restarting the browser & going to another computer (both are macOS and I am using Safari)
- Swearing at the machine.
Any suggestions?
BTW: I am also not able to connect to PrusaConnect. I receive a message "Prusa Connect failed" and there is a QR code. When I go to the link indicated by the QR code I receive a 404 Page Not Found error.

I'm having the same issue for Prusa Connect. https://forum.prusa3d.com/forum/input-shaper-mini/cannot-link-mini-to-prusa-connect/#post-674955
I had a lot of issues until I did a full factory reset & reinstall the 5.1.0 alpha firmware. That seems to solve everything except for Prusa Connect.

Wow, I didn't realize that the fact that it was a known thing on Github that made it OK or good.
I appreciate your support of Chrome, but it might surprise you that there are 844 Million users of Safari out there, including iPhone users. And, many of them have no desire to use Chrome for a variety of reasons relating to security, privacy, and password management.

Also I only said Chrome because I know the login works on it

Works on Firefox as well if you don't like Chrome.

RE:
Is Firefox even a thing?
It is not that I hate Chrome. It is that I, like 844 Million other people, use Safari. I do so because it is most convenient on an iPhone, because it is secure and safe, and it is what I have chosen to manage my passwords.
The point is that it is rather incredulous that Safari isn’t on the A-List of browsers to test compatibility with.
The answer is not to let the tail wag the dog. I’m not installing a new browser on all of my systems to use the Mini+.
I ditched 5.1.0 Alpha and went back to the previous version which was also able to reliably print.

Yes Firefox is a thing and depending on where you look in different areas of the Internet it has higher market share than Safari.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Usage_share_of_web_browsers
So how about you go down from your high horse and become a bit more humble?
Especially since Firefox is one of the highest ranking webbrowsers when it comes to security. So if that is your angle then you should change to Firefox and leave Safari.

RE:
"it has higher market share than Safari"
Firefiox has a marketshare of 0.84% on mobile devices and an overall marketshare of 2.9%. This is largely confined to linux where it enjoys a 14.5% marketshare, which is certainly a higher marketshare on Linux systems than Safari.
I didn't mean this to become a religious discussion on browsers. I'm simply delighted that version 5.1.0 works on Firefox and perhaps even more obscure browsers. Great!
But the important point is that 5.1.0 does not work on the #2 browser in the world, Safari, and it most certainly should. It may not even have been tested on Safari, which would seem to be a pretty big ostrich-head-in-the-ground move by Prusa.
Safari has a 20% overall marketshare, a 52% marketshare on mobile devices, and a 94.5% marketshare on Apple devices. The point is that this is large enough that it should not be ignored by Prusa.

Not exactly. PrusaLink works fine on previous versions (e.g. 4.4.1) using Safari. The problem has appeared with 5.1.0 Alpha.
