Possible bug in Tuning/Change Filament Sequence

Midway through a print and changing filament so as not to run out while I step away and in my haste selecting "Filament Removed" without actually taking the filament out shows a "Please remove filament from filament sensor" message.
Taking out the filament does not automatically clear the menu, and there are no other buttons available to clear the message.
Currently hoping the safety timer will bring up the "heating disabled" message and hoping that will clear the "Please remove filament from filament sensor." message in the process as I'm several hours into a print...

Agreed, I've been having the same issue.  The new Alpha firmware seems to ignore the filamet sensor as well, I've had two prints where the sensor should have triggered a pause and they did not.  The sensor works, testing it shows that it's operational but the firmware appears to just ignore this.

For me the sensor works during print, so will trigger warning and stop printing, waiting for refill.

But after unloading filament it keeps the headhot still around 200oC, so it's a need for manual intervention.
