Dumb Input Shaping wear and tear question.

Hello!

So I've read all about how input shaping works and what it does for me. Faster and better looks prints. Awesome stuff. It's really amazing in my prusa mini.

I'm currently doing a lot more printing than I normally would. I do the basic maintenance upkeep. But I'm curious, does input shaping cause any extra stress or wear in the machine over time? It just moves so damn fast compared to non input shaping.

My prints aren't super time sensitive. So I'm just curious would it be somewhat safer, long term, to just not use input shaping unless I'm really in a hurry for a print?

TIA. 🙂

RE: Dumb Input Shaping wear and tear question.

I've noticed that the stepper motors are a lot cooler after the update with IS. So they should see less wear.

The belts might be under more stress, but I don't think it is anything to worry about.
