Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Hi,
I am testing the new 5.1.0-alpha1 input shaper FW. After the update (and update of wifi module), I could not push the file from Prusaslicer, nor from Prusalink in browser.
The printer is in the same place and I never experienced any issues with upload with release FW. I tried smaller (1MB) and larger gcode multiple times. The transfer did not finish and failed before reaching 100%. (around 80 or 30% fail depending on file size.)
Is anyone else also experiencing this?
BTW I am pretty impressed with the prints and speed!
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Same. I don't have the newest version of Prusa Slicer, so maybe that has something to do with it, so I'm going to try that next.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
I'm also experiencing flaky PrusaLink with this firmware, consistently failing to upload any gcode. Although I am getting "Operation timed out" instead of "Connection reset" so might be a different issue.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
I updated to the most recent Prusa Slicer 2.6.1 and the file transfer worked great for me now
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Im using PrusaSlicer 2.6.1 and did a factory reset but wifi upload constantly fails on the first 20%.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Sending a file via the local Prusa Link website really doesn't work. After a while, it crashes and helps to reset the Wifi module (no need to reset the entire printer). But direct export from Prusa Slicer works, and sending via Prusa Connect also works.

Thanks for information, its works perfect.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Mine stops at 3.50MB of ...
Error uploading to print host:Failure when receiving data from the peer:Recv failure: Connection was reset[Error 56]
the next try I get this:
Upload has failed. There is no suitable storage found at 192.168.10.103.Timeout was reached:Connection timed out after 10004 milliseconds[Error 28]
printer's network is down... http://192.168.10.103/ - ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT, does not respond to ping.
bonus: re-enabling (off-on) prusalink from printer's settings and retry to upload results in BSOD: i also have the dump_buddy.bin crash dump if needed.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
I have to admit that it is not reliable. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. A fix will be needed.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
same it doesn't want to allow the files to finish transfer. haven't gotten any to work. Wifi was a struggle to setup even though it was working previously. I might have to try the settings reset like others are saying. but I kinda don't want to. it's working great otherwise
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
I have both the newest prusa Slicer 2.6.1 and the 5.1.0 firmware.
Both prusa connect and prusa link are up and running.
But I cannot upload to my usb.
Any attemt from either web interface or prusa slicer _will_ fail or lock up.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Neither Prusa Slicer nor Direct upload work with me. I need to physically move USB stick between PC and printer
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
I got it to work after a reset. I actually flashed 4.4.1 which caused the reset. Then I put the new one back and everything works.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Well, unfortunately, the issue still persists. After couple successful transfers it does not work again.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
It eiher works or appears to work.
Then it crashes.
Prusa slicer show a percentage being transmitted to your printer, but that percentage decreases while the transfer is (not) taking place.
In the prusa link page of my printer, it also appears a transmission is started, but after a while the thing becomes unresponsive.
When refreshing the page, the connection times out.
Wether the transfer is initiated form PrusaSlicer or PrusaLink does not matter. Any file transfer will hang up wifi, requiring a reset.
BTW: how do you reset the wifi, whitout resetting the whole printer?
I now usually hit reset on the printer and interrupt the transfer.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
@hainjedaf I think only the reset of whole printer (factory reset) makes it work, but only for a while I guess. I gave up on it and hopefully it will be fixed in next versions.
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
Yes, my idea too.. I'm eagerly awaiting alpha2 or beta1
RE: Cannot upload file via PrusaLink after update
That is probably a good idea. I am now testing it on two printers. Works fairly well, but there are bugs.

If the transmission via WiFi fails (which is almost always the case with FW 5.1), the whole module fails. It's offline. The transmission is already lost. It must be reset to answer again.
Menu: Settings>Network>Wi-Fi>Setup Wi-Fi Modul>Not Now
... and the module is Online again. But you probably won't transfer anything anyway 🙂 You can at least monitor the status of the printer.
