Great, we have new profiles in PS, thank you Prusa.

Unfortunately my test is paused...

I have a Mini Bear, so the default values for input shaping don’t work here.
I’m going to print a ringing tower and adjust the values with M593.
I read that Prusa requires a “T” setting, not sure if this is used with the Mini.

anyone tried this?

Just wanted to chime in that I was able to resolve my X-Axis issues by following the instructions on the  "Adjusting Belt Tension" Guide in conjunction with the new Prusa Belt Tuner site/App Beta.

Getting the X-Axis tension in the site in the dead center resolved all homing, loading, and printing issues for me thus far (4+ different prints with no issues).

Mine wasn’t too far from dead center on X or Y, but I was getting occasional belt grind until I did get it dead on!

How much Hz is the frequency of that dead center?

Hey guys, please take the "do not leave the printer unattended" warning for the alpha version serious:

My mini paused mid-print with a blue screen and warning beeping yesterday with the nozzle still on the material. Am am not sure what would have happened, e. G. If the nozzle was still being heated or would have cooled down. But please be careful.

I also had it run over night being very confident about the machine but I will better stop that from now until a stable release.

Yes, I reported the issue on github.

Sorry, it’s been almost a week, but I did make a point of adjusting the screws until it hit both sides (too loose, too tight) before zeroing in on what the microphone declared was just right.

I was able to install the alpha on a second Mini.  I am getting excellent print results.

I would second this. I ran mine overnight doing a multi-color print using my Palette 2S Pro and when it finished I have a command to eject the filament. It ejected the filament and then sat on the confirmation screen for the next few hours at 215C hotend heating nothing at all.

Any one else X axis when doing sensorless homing banging at each side popping the belt and I also get print fan error after couple of layers. Other than that it prints beautifully.

RE:

Wish I had read past the first post with the lnk to the firmware...  My machine had the x and y axis issues.  First I had some filament debris that I thought was blocking it. Then I actually found a dead moth in the way.  Neither fixed teh axis error.  Tuning the belts seems to have worked.  Re-tested teh XYZ and the printer passed. Doing my first alpha method print now.  FAST.

Seems like a game changer.  Doubles or halves teh number of printers or print time.  It doesn't give you a 'spare' though.  I have two minis. One has a REVO on it and that is the one with Alpha.  The other MINI is really sick and needs some dep maintenance.  I'm switching it over to REVO when I do that.  The Mk4 with Alpha is pretty sweet.  So three printers, or which it seems one is always down for some reason. I hope the NK4 with the Nextruder set up and REVOs on the Minis takes the biggest headache- hot end issues off the table.

For some reason the belt tuner on my iphone 12 only works with Chrome also, not Safari....

On your Mac you need to run it with Chrome.  For what ever reason it lose t like Safari.

Just installed everything and it looks very promising. I ran into a bug though, when I try to login to prusalink it wont accept my password on a mac. I just keeps popping up the password menu. On my windows computer there is no problem loggin in.

Cheers!

Ps. holy crap its now printing the benchy and the speed is insane 😀

yep it happens
also I just did run out of the filament and sensor didn't notice that. Would love to see diagnostic test for filament sensor working properly. Where I should post/vote for such feature request?

Observing different results on 2 different MINI+ printers with the firmware:

Upgrades on each MINI+ printer with same file .25mm nozzles on each:

1.) MINI+ with Bondtech extruder, and Revo hotend

---Nozzle scarring the print upon ALL color changes

2.) MINI+ with Bondtech Extruder

---No scarring with color changes

RE: 5.1.0-alpha1 Firmware for Original Prusa MINI/MINI+ - : "Avoid crossing perimeters" fails

A feedback to the dev team that "Avoid crossing perimeters" causes problems when sliced for the "input shaper (alpha)" printer profile in 5.1.0-alpha1. It offset an entire layer three times in a row, different heights and directions for each of the three times, maybe it gets stuck and loses steps.

I didn't see the issue when sliced for normal printer profile in the same firmware.

Apart from that: Input shaper is an amazing upgrade of the printer. Thanks!

Finally! I was praying that Input Shaping would come out on the Mini. After I saw the video, I was like,"Nextruder?" 🤣

It's a good start, but I see the tolerances need work, and hopefully we can increase the speed on it.

I've printed and added a C ring to the X axis rod to the right and I have the homing working 10 out of 10 times now.

I've shared the model here:
