Thankyou for this amazing peace of firmware. Works nearly perfect.

But the Bonkers-Benchy, printed in 18 minutes, had a little bit of underextrusion. The same benchy, printed in 40 minutes with the included settings, had a perfect finish.

PS:

... I think, 40 minutes is fast enough

That just happened to me. I sliced the file again and now it is printing. 1. layer going down.

Could it be the timestamp from installing the firmware / creating the file in the slicer? -i have no idea...

Now I can't get it in my amateur head, don't I need to connect an extra sensor to be able to run Input Shaper on Mini+ printer???

For some reason, I cannot get this to install on one of my Minis.  Do I need to change to file name?

Have you read this? Can it help?

Firmware update instructions

Make sure you are running firmware 4.4.1, see the release notes for firmware files and instructions. Once the 4.4.1 is installed proceed to flashing the 5.1.0-alpha1 firmware. Note that the upgrade might take longer than usual

last line in known bugs section on the release page says:

In rare cases the printer might have issues with homing, a temporary fix is to hold the print head for a while while homing

So that's what I did - while selftesting X, I held the head stuck to the extruder so it can't "bounce" back for 2 seconds. Released it after 2 seconds and it continued testing X axis and everything else just fine.

RE:

Yes, and I have 4.4.1.  Do not assume someone did not read the instructions.  One of my printers is just not acknowledging the firmware file is on the thumb drive.  I have it on one and I guess I will try a third printer instead.

I appreciate that.  I am not sure about what is causing it.  One printer worked.  One went into a perpetual boot loop when I tried to update to 4.4.1.  A third would not recognize the input shaper firmware.  I guess that means I will be trying a fourth tonight.

Seconding this. For now, swapped the nozzle and started a first print

I only have 2 Mini+ so I only dare to test it on one, after all it's only an Alpha version and I'm not brave enough to dare to run on both

still having homing issues. I checked the belt tension with the tool, I tried some suggested commands from the bug page on github:

M914 X140

G28 X

That worked , but when I started the print it failed again with the homing error.

That's a pretty cool feature. I just tried and both x and y were fine.
