Vase Mode starting a certain layer height?

Hello to everybody. Thats my first topic 🙂

I could not find anything similiar to my following question and I expect it to not be possible. But asking is free so maybe somebody knows a solution.

Thats the part I am just printing right now. The aim of the part is to be part of a lamp and the light will shine trough, so the seam might be vissible. The thin part is 0.86 mm thick, as Prusa Slicer reccomends when using 2 outside perimeters.

I am thinking about to do one outer line so I could be able to use the vase mode. But since I have to points to screw the part to the lamp, Prusa Slicer tells me I am using invalid data.
Either its not possible the way I am thinking or I just do not know how to realise it in Prusa Slicer.

Would be great if somebody could share his experience with me 🙂
Thanks in advance.

Kev

Vase mode is a single strand spiralling around the outside of a shape.  Also the closed curve is necessary to support the structure as it grows...  Your single sheet idea doesn't fit the concept.

What you might try is to rotate the part, put the thin sheet on the bed as a single layer and build the base verticaly.

Cheerio,

Honestly, I do not know why I did not think about laying it down on this side.

But anyway. My question can be answered with no. Thanks for your answer. 🙂
