NOOB: I'm not sure how to describe the problem so please look at these photos.

These are in PLA Pro (ZIRO), and one is printed with input shaping, the other without.  I have tried different top fill patterns and they all come out with this odd separation and the gaps and ugly holes.  The temp is 220 which is the upper end of temp for this filament.  I tried one at 215 and it looks the same.  If I print at an angle where this is no longer the top surface it does not create the gaps, but of course, it takes longer.  15% adaptive cubic fill, 5 perimeters.  I appreciate any help in diagnosis.  I'm not very knowledgeable about all of the settings and I'll be learning terminology from whoever responds.  Thanks.
