Non PRUSAMENT new to 3d printing question

Hi

I am new to the 3D printing world. I have set up my Prusa Mini and was able to make some great prints with my 1 roll that came with the printer.

I wanted to try another colour and picked up some PLA from a local vendor in Australia that is recommended. However, my printer stops extruding after the first layer or so, and the print looks like this:

Any suggestions on what could be causing this? I put the Prusament back in and it works perfectly.

Thanks

Hans

Is this only the first layer? If so, your nozzle is too close to the bed. Adjust your live Z to raise the nozzle a bit. Otherwise it could also be overextrusion, then you would have to adjust your extrusion width. But just start with adjusting live Z 🙂

That looks like is started under extruding with a partial jam.  What filament?

You need to run a first layer calibration. Try the link above for more information.

Your nozzle looks like it's too close to the bed at the moment.
