MM Print: Sensless Extrusion after Tool/Color Change
Hi there
I'm still experimeting with mutli material printing on my Mini and I have a new problem. I'm not sure, if this behaviour has been change in the actual PrusaSlicer. I'm currently running 2.5.0
The Problem
After the filament change (which i have added manually into the "Tool Change G-Code" section) the print head is returing to the wipe tower at the position it's left off before the filament change. So far so good... BUT: Before it just print a few lines on the wipe tower, it extrudes some filament (E18 !) while don't move the other axis. This is causing a blob where the head crashes in afterward or get stuck.
I don't see any reason why PS is extruding this extra filament while stay on place at this point. Does anybody know which setting may cause this?
Thanks
martin

I have the same issue and must turn off "wipe tower", with some other issues.
If you are changing filament manually a wipe tower is not needed.

Cheerio,
Yes, i know. It works whitout more or less but it's better for consistent flow, especially when change to a different material and the temp changes. Doring the move of the printhead from the parking position, sometimes some filament is oozed. But thanks anyway Diem, i will print without heat tower then.

In the first thread linked above, the third post, from @joantabb, explains how to deal with that.
