Mini - Missing material in corner.

I've been printing for less than a year and have about 50 prints under my belt.

It's all been relatively painless with very little issue.

I recently started getting corners with material missing in them. It's random an is usually only in one corner of the print.

The image shows the latest print exhibiting the behavior. Other than the one corner the print is fine.

I'm printing PETG, and the wall thickness is about 1.5mm. The groove produced without material is about half the wall thickness.

This is the fourth print in a row with the issue. The prints are all of different items, but modeled very similar.

I've successfully printed this same setup close to 50 times without ever seeing this specific issue.

Any idea what could cause this...

RE: Mini - Missing material in corner.

Two thoughts, this is probably the seam, you can direct the seam by painting the desired position (button on left in plater) or change its type and position in:

Print Settings > Layers and perimeters > Advanced > Seam position

- you will need to be in advanced mode.

And 1.5mm walls are a bit thin for good 0.4mm nozzle printing, generally 2mm is the suggested minimum.

Cheerio,

RE:

I'm seeing this on several prints using the new Input shaping firmware on my Mini+.  It's the seam and changing the position from the default aligned to random helps hide but not eliminate the problem. It's only happening on prints with thin walls and is better or worse depending on the filament or roll. I've used two rolls from the same manufacturer with one failing every time and the other printing successfully.
