Looking for white opaque filament

Hi,

which filament would I use to create an opaque white illuminated lamp?

The filament should be white and not see-through. But it should be able to be illuminated from within, like the 3d printed lamps from Gantri.

Any tipps on print settings welcome as well! Thanks

I printed two similar objects out of thin white PLA and clear PETG.  The clear came out slightly translucent but not clear.

RE: Looking for white opaque filament

I've found that most white PLA and PETg filaments have enough pigment to make them reasonably opaque.  Hatchbox comes to mind immediately.

The exception is eSolutech, which is obvious in that it does not have nearly as much pigment as most others, and is quite translucent by comparison.

If printed thin, most filaments will pass some light, and a solution is to use an opaque white paint on the interior non-showing surface to block more of the light, if needed.

RE:

Colorfabb XT White is a clean white, and opaque. It has printed beautifully on my MINI, though in the case of a 24hr+ spherical lithophane, I got some sort of banding, but it doesn't bother me a bit. I find the final result to be everything I wanted it to be. On smaller prints (everything is small after the spherical lithophane,) I considered  them to be, "perfect," prints, each time. If you want something in the flex realm, Filamentum Flexfill 98A White, is pristine white, opaque as it gets, and also prints beautifully on the MINI, at quite surprising speeds, too. Worth noting, all prints I'm referring to here were done with a .4mm Olson Ruby. (I print a ton of abrasives, and the Ruby relieves me of nozzles changes, as it prints everything filament I throw at it, abrasive or not. 95% of edits to my default profiles have been to achieve certain effects, as opposed to just getting a filament to print at all.)

Edit: I included a photo of it without backlighting but, for me at least, it isn't showing in my post.

I've used 3D Solutech's Real White for a winter scene, with LED lights inside, and I liked the effect.
