Is an Enclosure Always Needed for ASA?
So I've been thinking about doing a project like this https://www.printables.com/model/229628-gutter-guard . I have an XL on preorder, but I was thinking about making some smaller test sections on the Mini+ until it comes.
For a relatively "featureless" project like this, is an enclosure absolutely necessary? Could I print them on the Mini+ without an enclosure? Thanks!

You will most probably have some warping, although significantly less than with ABS. If you are printing in a warm climate with a room temperature of 30 C or above, and have no draft in the room from open windows etc then it will probably work reasonably well. I would probably put a transparent box over the Mini (to the extent I would be able to supervise that setup), which should do fine as a temporary housing for supervised daytime (not overnight) prints.

I have printed a lot of parts (large, small) with Prusa ASA Galaxy black. Warping was minimal (see pictures). You just have to make sure that no drafts affect the print. Possibly a draftshield is helpful.

@karl-herbert I'm not completely sure what I'm looking at, but is that a draft shield on images 3, 4, and 6?

Yes. If the function draftshield is enabled it creates a skirt as tall as the tallest object in the scene. This can be used to protect ABS, ASA, and other materials from warping by creating a micro-climate around the printed part and protecting the print from draft/wind.
If you're printing a lot of parts out of ASA or ABS, though, I'd consider buying a case or similar cover.

In some circumstances you might save a little filament/time using the variable height shield option. Not sure what version that option was added (not in 2.3.3).
