How to resize a model correctly?

Hello!

I own a Prusa Mini, and I wish to print this nice looking Auto-Rewind Spool Holder,

I can print all of the pieces in about 4 batches.
But the stand itself will not fit in the 180*180 print bed.

Is there an easy way to resize it to fit the bed without messing up any other critical demimondaine?

Or what should I look for in other models?

ready to print

Picture for attention 😛

It is much easier if the original CAD model is available, but you can cut it in Prusa slicer.

Choose the print settings, filament settings and printer settings you want to use.

Import the amf file. You don't want to open the amf file as a project because then you will get the settings for the wrong printer.

Rotate 90 degrees. This will put the back legs you want to cut facing upward.

Use the cut function at 174 mm and only keep the lower part. This will leave a little room for the edges and tool path. You can play with this setting a little to get the cut where you think it looks best. If you make it with something that can be glued, you can keep all the parts and print them separately and glue them together.

Rotate - 90 degrees, center on the build plate and slice.

Regards,

Mark

Just as an update, if anyone ever find himself at a similar problem,

What I ended up doing is using this stand(for a different auto rewinder)

plus this little adapter to make them play nicely together

I see you made Slack Lack! I'd like to build it too, I have plexi ready. Did you print it whole on MINI? Do those parts even fit? 😀
