How do I print Impact pla fiberology?

I bought this impact pla a week ago and was excited to print it. Information about this impact pla is listed in their main website ( https://fiberlogy.com/en/fiberlogy-filaments/impact-pla/) and the difference from normal pla print parameters is higher nozzle tempreture (220-245°C), everything else is the same as normal pla. The first print was fine, second attemp failed at 10%, as it stopped extruding. The gears that move the fillament where full of powdered dust, so I cleaned it and print again. After that, same thing happened, stopped at extruding at 10%. I cleand the nozzle with multiple cold pulls and even replaced the nozzle head. After the fix, it printed succesfully. But when I tried again, it failed (same problem).

I tried printing with normal pla, everything works as intended. The second I try to print with impact pla, it clogs up. Is the problem because of the gears that grind the fillament? Or the fillament doesn't properly melt in nozzle? (When I print impact pla, I print with 240°C nozzle tempreture). I've tried adjusting the Z axis too, no luck.

Any Idea how do I print this fillament? If anybody who have printed with this material, let us know what parameters you used or any tips about this fillament.

Hello Breadzilla, have you tried to decrease a flow or speed? 240°C should be fine for Impact PLA. We could say more about it knowing your printing parameters.

How long have you been using this printer?  How many prints have you printed on it?  Have you used other higher temp filaments like PETG?  What does failing at 10% mean?  Without seeing the model that doesn't mean much, 10% on a Marvin is much sooner than 10% on a benchy, how long did it print before it hit 10%?

Cheers

I have the exact same problem. First I can’t load impact pla with the PLA-preset on the Mini as it is way to cold for the Impact PLA. So I use the PETG-preset just to get the filament loaded. The print ends up really messy, and then it clogs up. Tried to reduce flow to 80 but it still sucks. So frustrating. My Raise3D E2 prints the Impact PLA with ease. I love the stuff, but it is so frustrating that I can’t print it with my Mini 🙁
