I think what is being referred to is that Prusa does not recycle used filament into new filament, but has set up to use it to injection mold some parts for the Mini.

@dik-harrison

Thanks.  It was confusing.  Recycled PETG and PLA can create printing challenges.  I have two rolls that are a bear.

I have made and installed this fan shroud for the extrusion stepper and it keeps the stepper cool, but has not fixed the issue.  I am beginning to think that retractions are the problem as I had a print fail until I redesigned it so it did not need supports and it printed.  going to need to look into this further.  Does anybody have any suggestions?

Except for Prusament, it is my favorite filament, and Filstruder is here in Georgia so I get what I order the next day most of the time.  And the price is very competative.

have you measure your filament? because i have similar problem. my printer never have any problem when using prusament. but since i use esun filament, the printing surface is ugly and i have a lot of jams. i find out that the filament i bought have different diameter than prusament. the grey color is 1.71 mm and the black one is 1.77 mm .. after i create custom profile in prusaslicer with custom filament diameter set for each spool, the problem is gone...

Thanks for the tip, I'll check again.   But the issue happens across multiple spools PLA and with PETG also.  You used to be able to see a graph of the Veracity filament diameter for the entire "koil", but I cannot find how to do that anymore.
