Failed prints

Friend of mine sent me an image of his failed prints - printer has printed successfully several times and now always produces a mess!

I'm thinking its either a dirty bed where the first layer isn't sticking, or he needs to recalibrate the Z axis height?

Any ideas?

RE: Failed prints

The build plate certainly looks dirty. It needs a thorough cleaning, best with warm water and detergent (flush it with pure water afterwards then wipe with clean paper towel, don't touch with bare hands except for the very edges).

Follow that with a first layer test print and z-offset calibration as needed.

If that doesn't resolve it, it would be time to have a look at the print settings.
