Defects on corners

Have tried to print a project several times with failures each time that I believe turned out to be the result of an incorrect first layer calibration.

After recalibrating the first layer, the project no longer fails but it has these defects at the corners.

Thoughts?

Looks kindda like the corners are warping but it also look like there is material missing on the first two layers. If you didn't try already, print with a brim.

Best if you post your .3MF project file (zip it and post the zip).

or you took the print from the heated bed, in that direction when the bed was still warm...

It's hard to tell from the picture angle, but if that print has severe angles at the bottom (fillets or a > 45 degree angle), it's going to be tough to print. As @towelrg notes, you have a bit of warping going on in the corners. You're likely to have defects in the form of bulges along the vertical walls above the corners. Make sure your bed is very clean, use a brim, or add mouse ears in the corners. You can try various adhesion boosters, but they have limits.

Your first layer looks OK, not perfect but close enough.

Two more possibilities: is that corner close to the edge of the bed in a cold room?

 - try a slightly hotter bed or block any drafts (enclosures can sometimes be useful, test by placing a large box over the printer.)

- or this is sometimes a symptom of a slightly dirty print bed, give it a through clean.

The bed was cool when I took the print off and I cleaned it good with IPA before printing.

I only posted the one picture but the defect shows on all four corners. I may try re-printing with a brim.

Try the dish soap and hot water method, it's mentioned on many threads here.

"I may try re-printing with a brim." Brims are great, go larage, in the scheme of things they cost very little (both time and material). If you're using a brim, lose the skirt.

The thought of such a short kilt is disturbing.
