Z-axis is turning, but trapezoidal nut is not going up
On my Prusa mini, the z-axis turns just fine both ways, but sometimes the trapezoidal nut just spins along with the z-axis instead of pushing the x-axis upwards. This happens 50% of the time, and when it happens, it makes the printer crash claiming that probably there is an issue with the superPINDA sensor.
I do feel that the long z-axis screw has a bit of wiggle room at the bottom mounting point, but I am not sure whether this is a problem or not. I built the printer myself, it's possible that I screwed up somewhere.
Looking at it, I feel that the trapezoidal nut should never spin freely of the x-axis. I am tempted to fix the problem by putting a little bit of double-sided sticky tape or poster putty in between the trapezoidal nut and the x-axis, but I am worried this might end up being a terrible idea 🙂
How should I solve this? Many thanks!
RE: Z-axis is turning, but trapezoidal nut is not going up
Sorry all for the post above, I solved it. I somehow managed to completely miss a step in the assembly process, and didn't install 2 nuts. Oops...
