What does "Disable Steppers" do and when would you use it?
I'm sure there's something completely obvious that I am missing. "Disable Steppers" is an option in the Settings menu, but I can't find anything, anywhere, of why and when you would want to use it. Every video I watch, people move the X, Y, and Z without ever "disabling" the steppers, or even mentioning the importance of doing it.
Can someone please explain? Thanks!

When you start a print or calibration, you cannot move the print head. The steppers are "activated". If you disable the steppers, you can move it manually.

That makes sense. Never had to do that, but when the time comes, I now know what to do. 😉
