Weird material curving on the z-axis

Hi,

I'm experiencing a strange bending on layer in certain areas of a print. It looks that some corners are folding upwards, causing the sides of the nozzle to touch them (I printed black PETG before, and that explains the color).

PETG
Variable layer height
Supports contact layer height: 0.2mm
Permieters: 4
Infill: 25% Gyroid

Has someone experienced similar issues?

Here are some detail pictures:

Raft

Are you using a raft?  It appears you are getting some poor adhesion.

Not strange at all.  Normal for lots of materials including petg.  Many materials contract as the cool.  Those areas are very prone to that.  Due to the shape and the fact that there is almost nothing below the layer on the edges to hold it down they curl up more.   You have 4 perimeters which is also putting a lot of hot plastic into a very small area which doesn't help.   This is probably aggravated by the gyroid infill choice increasing pull on those areas (imagine the infill lines like springs contracting).

Common ameliorating methods are to print inside an enclosure to keep the temperature more even.
