UK available replacement Blower fan

heya,

My blower fan has gone all screechy, so i'd like to replace it - the part from Prusa is cheap, but the shipping is double the cost of the fan.

Has anyone successfully replaced the blower with something in spec and available in the UK that they could link to?

Cheers!

Caveat:  I have not tried this with the Mini fan...

Almost all of these small fans can have their lives extended with a little lubrication.

Peel back the sticky label *carefully* and apply a *single drop* of light oil on/in the centre bearing.  Reseal the sticky label.

Sometimes it only buys you a few days to source a replacement; my Mk3 print fan has lasted an extra three years, the replacement is still in the spares box.

Either way, with a dud fan you have nothing to use.

Cheerio,

eBay. It's just a fan, all you need is the same number of wires and the same operating voltage.

On the issue of Prusa shipping prices, I find them pretty good compared with some of the gougers out there. Why not buy a couple of extra spares (the post will probably be the same), eg. a hotend, heater, thermistor
