Tool (Hotend) Temperature strange spikes (Noticed today for the first time)..

Hi,

Usually I do not look on the "temperature" panel of Octoprint, but today it was open during the printing and I noticed that the tool (Hotend) temperature sometimes drops down for a second but returns to its level almost intermediately. (The same is noticiable on the Prusa MINI+ display, that the real time temperature jumps down but returns to the proper value afterwards..

Is this a hing the printer is telling me? (Replace something?)

Here is a screenshot from the temperature panel in Octoprint:

Thank you in advance for your kindly help.

RE:

Check cables from the thermistor to the board and around thermistor, looks like there may be some damages/short circuits?

I had drops like that but for longer periods (like over 5s) and turned out the little screw which holds thermistor beome loose when everything was hot.

But 1 second spikes look more like a cable damage/short-circuiting.
You could check if it happens only if the print head is in specific position area.

See my GitHub and printables.com for some 3d stuff that you may like.
