Filament tension screw not working
On my original Prusa Mini I cant stop it from breaking the filament near the gear do to that fact the the tension screw is not able to be adjusted it only has one option which is really tight and that leads to it breaking in the filament gear.

It sounds like you may have damaged the thread, remove it and check.
That said, wet filament is brittle so drying will help.

Check step 44 of the assembly manual here.
It is not the intention to tighten this bolt all the way!
Is the spring on the bolt?
The position of the head of the bolt should be flush with the edge of the plastic part.
