Tension on Z-Axis cord, flex on circuit board connector

Hey all!

I just unpacked my Mini, and noticed the z-axis cord coming out from the circuit board housing was wrapped around the extruder motor with quite a bit of tension. Upon opening the housing, I saw one of the green connectors with the red wire was at an angle from where the cord had tension. (about 30 degrees off axis)

I pushed it back gently into correct angle, and the rest is looking fine. Is this reason for concern, or would it mean some circuit underneath the green plug are at risk of being disconnected? Picture is of after pushing the pin back in.

Some other people here reported the same issue, and resolved it by pushing socket back. It may very well be just the socket sliding out and pins and solders are fine, but I'd check it from time to time to see whether there is no burnt spot around.

Update for whoever else might come across this thread.

The test print went just fine after I (gently) forced the plug back into place. So should all be fine, I hope!

Hi there...

I come from the industrial electronics industry ... focus on assembling circuit boards ...

if the connector housing can be removed ... that's no cause for concern ...
when wave soldering, the underside of the circuit board is heated and the heat rises above the pins.
As a result, the plastic also heats up and slightly melts ... the result is a removable housing ...
depending on the manufacturer, the pins are directly fused to the housing ... or just pressed in ... Attention: When the connector housing is removed, the installation direction is important when you put it back on
