Shorted the hotend cables.

I was in the process of troubleshooting some heat creep issues and wanted to clean the hot end/nozzle area with a brass brush. As I was heating up the hot end to prepare the removal of the nozzle and cleaning the hotend I accidently brushed up against the hot end power cables causing a small spark. This caused my machine to fully shutdown/power off. I've taken the buddy board out and inspected it for damages. I dont see any done to the board or the two fuses inside.

So far I tried

- Disconnecting the hotend cables from the board and attempt a boot via that - No Dice, black screen and no boot.

- Disconnecting every cables except for the power button and video cable - No luck, black screen and no boot.

I've done a bit of research on this topic and it points to a replacement hot end or buddy board. I'm just wanting to get a bit of input before I start ordering a new Revo/Prusa hotend and or another buddy board.

RE:

Did I just ruin everything? (sparks = bad)

I just posted this to the wrong thread but this was posted about four months ago and it was just unplug power block and let it set. plug back in about 20 minutes later and printer works fine. do not know but it won't hurt to try.

There was a quick spark of one of the brass strands touched the heating elements. I'll try your advice on Thursday when I have some time on my hands to but it back together. I'll let you know how it pans out. 👍
