Rattling sound while printing?

Prusa Mini developed a rattling sound during printing. Especially noticeable while it’s doing Gyroid infill. Sound like it might be coming from within X axis extruded.

Maybe something got loose? Any idea what it can be?

Thanks!

RE: Rattling sound while printing?

Be sure all pulleys are fixed to motor shafts. I could be the extruder 1:3 gear talking when doing extrusions.

Have a look at my models on Printables.com 😉

@area51

I think you're right! I can now hear sound coming directly from somewhere within the extruder box. I've reassembled the box and made sure everything was tight. Unfortunately, I'm still getting same noise.

It still comes from somewhere within extruder component but I'm not sure what is rubbing on what. It sounds like gears and either rubbing on some plastic or plastic is rubbing on other plastic when gears move.

Not sure what to try next. Might contact support to see if they've seen this before.

Did you ever get this resolved? My mini+ just started making this noise last night.
