Random print stop mini+???

Hello all, I will try to keep this short...

PROBLEM-printing will randomly stop. nothing suspicious when it happens.

It will maintain power,display,motors,210Cand60C.. ect..

I can pause/resume - it just returns to last point and does not resume printing.

Sometimes it comes with a "check print head and thermistor"

Sometimes all I do is clean the bed and hit re print and it will print out fine.

It seems completely random when,if it happens.

AND...........

*THIS IS HAPPENEING WITH 3 PRINTERS*

1 mini+kit

2 mini partial built

All stock except E3D revo6 prusa edition in all 3

Firm-4.4.1+4194

Boot-2.0.2

Buddy-1.0.8

thank you for any help

Also I should mention. Ive been running this setup for a while on all 3 machines and it happens about 30% of the time. AND it happens with the stock hot end?!?

Hi,

Does the printer die, or is somehow alive?

Were you able to see just before it stops?

I guess you did not have a chance to reproduce.

Does it alway end up in the same status?

Can you share the picture after it stopped?

even an old man can learn new things 🙂

RE: Random print stop mini+???

Since your problem occurs on all three printers, three things could be going on.

1. a problem/bug in the firmware after flashing.

Download the firmware again and install it on one of your printers.

Check if the problem is resolved on that printer.

2. a corrupt gcode file.

Slice the file again

3. a bad usb stick.

Try another USB stick.

Thank you! This is making sense...

Ive seen some mention of usb sticks before...going to buy some new ones. I will dl firmware again and flash 1 printer. I will see if that changes anything, if not then I will hope its in the slicing...will post results.

thank you
