Prusa Mini+ Stopped Printing Mid-Print and It Will Not Unload Filament

Hello,

My Prusa Mini+ stopped printing mid-print and I cannot unload the filament. The nozzle kept moving but no filament was coming out. I am using Polaroid PETG Filament. I also tried heating up the nozzle to 290 degrees and nothing came out. Before using PETG, I was using Prusament PLA my nozzle was clogged but I fixed it using the methods provided on the forums and it printed fine. I did a test print with PETG and it worked perfectly fine. I am not sure what to do.

Can you provide pics?

When you unclogged the nozzle are you sure you re-assembled everything correctly?

Just to understand, when you say it stopped printing mid print do you mean the printer shut down or continued to try to print but no filament came out?

The best suggestion I can make is to manually pull the filament.  You'll need to remove the bowden tube between the extruder motor and the hot end, this might be difficult if you can't get the filament to move through the gear and the idler pulley, it may be necessary to loosen the tensioner, this page shows you where it is https://help.prusa3d.com/en/article/idler-screw-tension_177367

Once you have enough filament exposed, cut it and remove the bowden tube, heat the nozzle to the proper temperature then pull straight up out of the hot end.  Make sure you cut the filament near the extruder motor so you have plenty to work with.

Then go through the process of unclogging the nozzle.

I've had a couple of clogs, it seem for me it happens when I'm printing red PLA.

Spoke with support and they helped me take apart the Mini+. It ended up being that the filament broke right after the extruder, so it wouldn't push new filament up to the nozzle or push it out when I tried unloading it.

Also, another problem we found was that my PTFE tube that lines the hotend was really messed up, so I switch that out for the spare they provided.
