Power off or keep printer idle?
If you print once a day or two, and part half of the time the printer is idle.. what do you suggest?
a) Power off the printer when idle or
b) Keep it on, just take care that the nozzle/bed temperatures return to room temperature.
From experience, I know that power buttons and power supplies do not like to be toggled all the time, therefore sometimes it is a good practice not to power down on the cost of electricity that the device takes when idle.
What is your advice?
RE: Power off or keep printer idle?
I usually turn the printers off when they're idle for more than a day. Otherwise I don't bother. Not that I invested a lot (or any) brainpower into it....

RE: Power off or keep printer idle?
I am turning my printer off when I finish the printing for the day.
RE: Power off or keep printer idle?
I leave it on until I can remove the print and determine if I need to do any modifications and such.
If all OK, I turn it off until the next print.
