Powder coated build plate damaged

Hi,

as you can see in the attached picture, the powder coating of my textured build plate is "falling off". It kinda sticks to the bottom of prints sometimes.

I will probably get a new one, but I would be interested if something I did caused that, as the plate is pretty new (like 2 years, but mostly printing on the other plate). Distance to build plate is fine, prints release very easily (usually pop off by themselves) and I use 99% Isopropanol and paper towels for cleaning off fingerprints.

Best regards
Tobi

Yeah, it looks like it's literally falling apart.  I have not seen anything like this.

I have one that's 4 1/2 years old and it still prints quite well.  I do like the textured surface that it gives.  I've tried finding a similar build plate for an Ultimaker printer and can't find one that will drop right in and work.

This looks extreme but then again, the sheets are consumables. I had one or two sheets that looked similar, mostly when I forgot to put glue stick on for TPU prints, or with PC.
