Nozzle leak
I have a Prusa Mini+ and my printer nozzle leaks prior to start of print job. The result is that the print catches on itself immediately when the 2nd layer begins because the first layer doesn't print uniformly due to nozzle leak problem. We have updated software to no avail. Can anyone help here?
RE: Nozzle leak
What does "leak" mean? Do you see filament run down the heater block from above and then drip onto the print? That would speak for a nozzle being improperly installed. Or is filament oozing out of the nozzle when the nozzle heats up? This could be normal. Best remedy is to pick any oozing filament from the nozzle with needle-nosed pliers. Also make sure the startup gcode in prusaslicer has the lines
M104 S170 ; set extruder temp for bed leveling M140 S[first_layer_bed_temperature] ; set bed temp M109 R170 ; wait for bed leveling temp
M104 and M109 set the nozzle temp to 170 degrees as the "no-ooze" temperature. May still be too high for your filament, though, so you may want to try S160.
